about

This is the root mantra which begins the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (central religious scriptures of Sikhism). It orients your soul to it's true divinity.

lyrics

Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam
Karata Purakh Nirbho Nirvair
Akaal Moorat Adjoonee
Saibhang Gur Prasad
Jap!
Aad Sach, Jugaad Sach
Hai Bhee Sach,
Nanak Hosee Bhee Sach

The Creator and all creation are One. This is our true identity.
The Doer of everything, beyond fed, beyond, revenge, image of the infinite. Unborn, self-illumined, complete in the Self.
This is the Guru's gift.
Meditate!
True in the beginning, True even now, O Nanak, Forever True.

Thank you Richard for your super awesome electric guitar riffs! You make this song really rock! Cody Ellis is on sweet slide as well as Matthew Smith on acoustic guitar. Renita Reitz's soaring angelic harmonies bring the energy up and heavenly! Ben Knight's piano is reminiscent of Elton John's 1970 album "Tumbleweed Connection" (go have a listen, it's amazing!). Thinking of doing a remix of this track with a stronger reggae vibe would be very cool. A great chant for your Kundalini yoga practice. Sat Nam.
